About the Organization
Founded in 1974, Teche Action Clinic has a long history of providing outstanding care to our patients. As Louisianas first federally qualified clinic, we have built this reputation over the course of four and a half decades, and continue to offer our affordable care services to our Louisiana neighbors.
Teche Action Clinic is governed by a community board, which derives most of its members from those who receive care at the health center and represent the population served. This unique model gives us strong ties to the communities in which we serve.
Teche Action Clinic provides comprehensive primary medical, dental and behavioral health care with a variety of special support services meant to reduce barriers to care.
Teche Action Clinic is designed to be accessible to all people, regardless of income or insurance status. Our services are available on a sliding fee basis, determined by income level. We have built our reputation serving those who are historically under-served, but are capable of providing our outstanding care to everyone in need.

About the Community
The Mission of Teche Action Board, Inc. is to continually improve its ability to identify and eliminate the unique health disparities of the residents of St. Mary, Terrebonne, St. John, Lafourche, St. James, and Assumption Parishes. The residents of those parishes and surrounding areas will be provided safe, quality, culturally competent, comprehensive primary and preventive health care services, regardless of race, ethnic origin, age, sex, religion, or ability to pay.
