About the Community

Located in the southeast section of Eastern North Carolina, Carteret County is part of the Southern Outer Banks and widely known as the The Crystal Coast because of its 81 miles of white sandy beaches, natural beauty and mild climate. Nearby Camp Lejuene has a complement of over 45,000 active duty Marines and Navy personnel and almost 6,000 civilians.
