About the Organization
General Introduction
------------
The New York Medical Alliance, P.C. is an academically oriented, multi-specialty, not-for-profit physician organization whose prime responsibility is to provide all professional services to the North Bronx Healthcare Network(NBHN).
The NBHN consists of the Jacobi Medical Center, a 560 bed, Level 1 trauma center and a major Academic affiliate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine which is physically located on and adjacent to our 40 acre campus. We are located in a pleasant residential neighborhood adjacent to several major highways and mass transportaion and just minutes away from the cultural activities of Manhattan, Southern Westchester and Connecticut. Jacobi will open a new state-of-the- art facility in late Spring, 2004.
Our second Facility is North Central Bronx Hospital a 210 bed 911 Emergency, community hospital.
Our staff participates in all clinical disciplines except Cardiac Surgery and Transplantation and our medical staff members actively participate in all major clinical and economic decisions of the group through our representative Board of Directors.
