Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is actively seeking a mission minded Family Medicine physician to work in a leadership position with the family medicine residency program. The incoming physician will join a team of exceptional providers who specialize in Family Medicine and Gynecology. This position is for a full time Associate Program Director for their UC Davis affiliated, allopathic, ACGME affiliated Family Medicine Residency Program (launching in 2019). We are looking for a passionate, forward-thinking person, with excellent clinical and communication skills. The individual will help maintain an educational environment conducive to Medical Education in each of the ACGME competency areas and will help oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education in all sites that participate in the program.
The incoming physician will participate in the development of the program and the ongoing operations once launched, and is expected to maintain a clinical practice and supervise family medicine residents and UC Davis medical students
Job duties will include seeing continuity patients in primary care clinic 6 half days a week and working in an administrative role 4 half days a week. This administrative role will include reporting to the family medicine residency program director and working collaboratively on curriculum development, faculty leadership development, strengthening relationships with clinical colleagues for creating new training opportunities for the residency program, attending leadership meetings for the health care system and other duties related to the development of the family medicine residency program.
Candidates must be BC/BE, be California licensed or eligible and meet Adventist Health Ukiah Valleys medical staff credentialing standards.
