RGH is a 20-bed medical and surgical hospital with an attached Rural Health Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic in Portales, NM. The Rural Health Clinic offers a robust practice with approximately seven physicians and five mid-level providers. Extended hours are offered each evening and on weekends. Several providers are partnered with UNMs Echo program to offer specialized care in Hep C and endocrine. The clinic is staffed with three Behavioral Health Providers and an Interventional Pain Management Specialist. The RGH Clinic is part of an Accountable Care Organization (ACO). In addition to a 24/7 Emergency Department, the hospital performs general and ophthalmic surgery, endoscopy, and interventional pain management with additional specialties planned in the future. The hospital does not provide OB/GYN services. Most family practice providers opt to see pediatric patients. About 32% of patients are 65 or older.
