About the Community
What We Do
Variety Care is a Community Health Center (CHC). CHCs are a vital link to health care for insured and uninsured individuals who have problems getting access to health care services. CHCs provide a broad range of primary and preventative health care services at affordable rates. Their mission is to improve the health of communities that do not have ready access to health care.
Officially known as Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), CHCs receive funding from the Bureau of Primary Health Care. CHCs also receive funds from Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, grants and private donations.
Variety Care provides access to affordable healthcare services for all family members, regardless of age, medical history, immigration status, or insurance coverage.
You are at the center of your health.
Patient Centered Medical Home
A medical home is an approach to providing total health care.
Patient-centered is a way of saying that you, the patient are the most important person in the health care system. You are the center of your health.
The Uniform Data System (UDS) is a reporting requirement of 330(e) Community Health Centers grantees of Health Resources and Services Administration. The UDS contains information regarding demographics, services rendered, and health indicators. By keeping track of this data, we can ensure your health is on the right track.
