About the Organization
Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center is the dominant institution in health care in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Collaborating with Louisiana State University Health Science Center, it is also an academic medical center and the largest private hospital in the state with 856 licensed beds. Designated as a Level 2 Trauma Center, OLOL's emergency and trauma area was recently renovated and expanded. In addition, OLOL operates two nursing homes, and has an affiliated cancer facility adjacent to the main hospital. A state of the art 7-story Heart and Vascular Institute opened in November 2013 and a free-standing Childrens Hospital is expected to open in 2019.

Baton Rouge is Louisiana's capital city and was recently named the 4th Happiest City in America! It is known for its fabulous food, music, entertainment, outdoor life and southern charm. Home to Louisiana State University and Southern University, Baton Rouge offers great schools, restaurants, and shopping venues. The mild climate, lakes and coastal access provides for plenty of outdoor activities as well.
