About the Organization
Based in LaGrange, Georgia, West Georgia Health provides comprehensive health care services to residents of west Georgia and east Alabama. West Georgia Healths flagship, West Georgia Medical Center is a 276 bed, acute care hospital serving a 6-county area.
Our full-service hospital facility includes a brand new 24-bed ICU, a step-down unit and brand new, state-of-the-art 34-bed Emergency Department. WGH has a fully accredited sleep lab, an excellent hospitalist team and a growing cardiac program that offers 24/7 interventional cardiology, WGH diagnostic cardiology and rehabilitation.
In addition, the health care organization employs over 1,300 people and serves a population base of 200,000 with more than 150 doctors on staff. WGH has a strong core of primary care physicians as well as numerous specialists, including nephrology, psychiatry, neurology, oncology/hematology, radiation oncology, general and interventional cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery and otolaryngology.
WGH is a fully accredited by The Joint Commission.
