About the Organization
Sunset Health Center is a 501 (c) (3) and a Federally Qualified Health Center designated to operate in a "rural community". We are the safety net for those in our community that either have no health insurance or very little health insurance. We are the largest Medicare provider in Yuma.
We operate 5 clinics throughout Yuma County. this position with work out of the Yuma- Main Clinic and the San Luis Clinic- South County area.
About the Community
Yuma, AZ is primarily an agriculture area supplying a majority of the winter produce/ vegetables to the United States. Along with agriculture another driving force to our economy is the 2 military installations that operate within the county. Yuma Marine Corp Air station and Yuma Army Proving Grounds bring families and retired winter visitors to enjoy the climate .
We are located in the south western corner of the state near Baja, Mexico. We are close to San Diego, CA (3 1/2 hour drive), Phoenix, AZ (3 hour drive), Baja, Mexico (45 minute drive), and Palm Springs, CA (2 1/2 hour drive).
We are a popular destination for sand-dune sports , boating, and fishing on the Colorado River.
