Floyd is an award-winning health care system located in Rome, Georgia and serves Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. The Floyd health care system includes Floyd Medical Center, a 304-bed not-for-profit community hospital featuring a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU, the newly acquired Floyd Cherokee Medical Center in Centre, AL, a 60-bed hospital, Polk Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital, Floyd Behavioral Health Center, a 53-bed dedicated inpatient facility, 25 Primary Care offices, 7 Urgent Care centers, Outpatient services, Hospice Care and Family Medicine Residency program. Floyd is the largest employer in the county with over 3,000 employees.
