About the Organization
Baltimore Medical System (BMS) was formed in 1984 when the City of Baltimore privatized four clinics run by the Health Department, creating a new non-profit, community-based organization. Since that time, we have grown both in number of sites and in the diversity and size of the populations we serve. Today, we have 50,000+ active users, served through five full-service primary care health centers and eight School-Based Health sites. We have a well trained group of Primary Care and Behavioral Health Physicians, Nurse Practioners and Physician Assistants who believe in the mission of providing high quality health care in underserved areas. We particpate in the Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs.
