Valley Hospital, in Las Vegas Nevada, is recruiting a Family Medicine Residency Program Director for their ACGME program. Successful candidate must be ABFM/ACOP Board Certified. Minimum of three years as active faculty and/or leadership in an ACGME accredited program.


Opportunity highlights:
Position includes Program Director, Teaching, and Clinical responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to FM residency program
Responsible for program development, growth, and maintenance of accreditation in adherence to all ACGME requirements
Oversee the quality of education, curricula, and experiential rotations
Lead the interview, selection, and evaluation processes of residents
Provide leadership, mentoring, teaching, and administrative oversight to residents
Lead and mentor faculty physicians and staff
Partner closely with medical and hospital staff to ensure effective integration within the organization

Valley Hospital Medical Center

Located in the heart of Las Vegas, Valley Hospital Medical Center is an acute care and teaching hospital that has provided high quality healthcare to residents of Southern Nevada since 1972. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including advanced cardiology, neurology, surgery and more.



Valley Hospital has an Emergency Department that treats approximately 50,000 patients per year. More than 14,000 patients are admitted annually with approximately 6,000 surgeries performed. The program faculty includes more than 100 physicians with representation from more than 25 specialties and sub-specialties.



The Graduate Medical Education program at Valley Hospital Medical Center was established in July 2006, and has grown to include 90 residents and fellows. We offer programs approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) that cover total healthcare for individuals and their families.
