Certified-Licensed Nursing Assistant - Pediatric Acute

Job Description

Responsible for providing nursing care to patients involving standardized procedures requiring knowledge of specific patient conditions and treatments that includes personal care, collection and reporting of vital signs, assisting with procedures, patient charting, and patient teaching under the supervision of registered nurses and other medical staff. Assists with patient re-positioning, transporting, dressing/undressing and Activity of Daily Living in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care and Unit policy. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Education:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Certification/Licensure:
The candidates may be CNA, RNA & or LNA
Must have and maintain a current, active, and unrestricted Certification as a Nursing Assistant from the State of Arizona
Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association

Experience:
Pediatric Care Unit (PCU): Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Clinical Courses

Other Skills and Abilities:
A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers. All employment references must address and indicate success in each one of the following areas:
Positive working relationships with others
Possession of high ethical standards and no history of complaints
Reliable and dependable; reports to work as scheduled without excessive absences
Able to respond appropriately in stressful situations
Able to provide direct patient care in a kind, patient, and compassionate manner
Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with patients and their family
Complete Patient Sitter Competency Training (upon hire)
