Job Description

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State University College of Medicine is seeking an academic surgical pathologist, tenure- or non-tenure track, open rank, to start as early as spring 2021. We are a subspecialty practice with annual surgical pathology volume of approximately 40,000 cases. Subspecialty areas of particular interest for this recruit include GI, breast and GU pathology, with some flexibility.

The successful candidate will join a strong, collegial department of 40 faculty in Anatomic, Clinical and Experimental Pathology. The department has a fully accredited residency program of 16 positions, with 4 ACGME-accredited fellowships, and participates actively in undergraduate and graduate medical education and graduate school teaching. Support for collaborative and independent research, including intramural funding, professional development programs, and faculty mentoring is provided. Board-certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania are required for the position. The position does not offer J1 waiver or H1B sponsorship.
