The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock is recruiting a Rheumatologist at the Assistant Professor level or above; commensurate with experience. The goal of this recruitment is to hire faculty to optimize both trainee education (medical student, resident and fellow) and healthcare. The individual's responsibilities will include teaching, attending the rheumatology clinic, performing inpatient rheumatology consultations and scholarly activities. In addition to the university hospital, UAMS is affiliated with the McClellan Veteran's Administration Hospital. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is the only medical school in Arkansas and serves as the major tertiary referral center for the entire state with a wide range of challenging rheumatologic pathology.
Little Rock is situated in a beautiful scenic area with many outdoor activities. Furthermore, as a state capital, it has many big city attractions yet significant small town charm.
