Christiana Care Health System, located in Wilmington DE and less than an hour from Philadelphia, PA, has an excellent career opportunity for a Full Time Advanced Heart Failure Physician to provide clinical expertise and care for our established, successful Advanced Heart Failure program. Position Description
This is a new position to support continued growth of our busy practice and will be joining 2 full-time Advanced Heart Failure Physicians and 2 dedicated Nurse Practitioners. The position includes providing care as part of the comprehensive Advanced Heart Failure program, which includes inpatient, and outpatient care, as well as our VAD program and teaching the fellow the Heart Failure Fellowship program. He/she will participate in our efforts to support the health system goals for Disease Specific Joint Commission Certifications in Heart Failure and VAD and for projects aimed at improving the quality of care and outcomes for patients in our community.

The Physician will work for Christiana Care Health System and be a part of a large employed cardiology practice, Christiana Care Cardiology Consultants. On-call is rotated with the Heart Failure Attendings and other members of the practice for a 1:3 rotation.

Qualified candidates will possess MD/DO degree from an accredited institution and Board Certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant. He/she will preferably least at least 2 years of recent work experience caring for this patient population. Successful candidates will also possess strong interpersonal skills leading to positive working relationships and positive interactions with patients and families, demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in a team, and operate as part of a busy high volume service.
