GASTROENTEROLOGY physician opportunity in South Texas (McAllen, Texas)

HCA Healthcare is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join a private practice in the South Texas city of McAllen, Texas. The practice currently has two GI's and two nurse practitioners, and is looking to add a third GI due to very heavy volume. There is a large physician deficit for GI in McAllen - the incoming GI will be busy from day one - current practice wait list is several months. The practice also has the equipment available to see virtual colonoscopies!
The incoming GI will see primarily bread and butter GI work. ERCP training or experience would be nice, but is not required. Spanish is not required of the position. Call will be 1:3 - operates as a one week on, two weeks off call model, with NP's handling consults. Practice willing to sponsor H1B physician candidates seeking visa support.
Practice will offer a production based model contract with initial base salary support. Benefits include health, malpractice coverage, dues, 401K, profit sharing plan, and CME. Partnership track is available with negotiable timeline to partnership.
