Program Director for FP Osteopathic Residency Program North of Dallas, TX #635130

Texoma Medical Center is recruiting a Director for its Family Medicine Residency Program. This is a three-year (36 month) postgraduate program in transition to the ACGME which opened in 2015. The program includes twenty-four residents. Both DO and MD faculty attending administer the program curriculum. The program has affiliations with the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and Texas OPTI to provide hands-on training for our residents.
In addition to Program Director, the candidate will also serve as Director of Medical Education. This position will be primarily administrative, providing leadership and direction for the entire program. R
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
coordinating all didactic activities for the residency program
providing senior leadership for the residency program
complete administrative tasks as required for the Department of Medical Education
ensure program compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies policies and regulations, as well as meeting of ACGME standards
work with the program coordinator on resident schedules
resident and faculty evaluations
interfacing with faculty and adjunct faculty
chairing the GME committee
Position will also include a half day per week of clinical time.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of clinical experience in Family Medicine, with two years as a core faculty member in an ACGME or AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency program. Board certification in Family Medicine is also required. Compensation will include a competitive salary with full benefits package, sign-on bonus and relocation.
