The APRN is responsible for direct care of outpatients in a clinic setting. Responsibilities include: performing a thorough review of patients' medical and surgical history. This includes performing a History and Physical, ordering and interpreting laboratory studies and EKGs. It also includes performing an anesthesia evaluation and risk assessment to determine readiness for surgery. Perform medication reconciliation and education in preparation for surgery is also required. Complete record keeping, communicating with other Physician offices and observing strict confidentiality are required.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Current Connecticut APRN license.
Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance Registration.
Demonstrated ability to positively interact with medical/nursing staff and other members of multidisciplinary team.
