Physician Assistant Gynecologic Oncology
Full Time * New Jersey

In this critical role, you will assist in seeing post-op patients at multiple locations, follow up on patient lab and test results, follow up on patients from tumor board, and assist with answering clinical questions. Multiple locations include Neptune, Brick, Manahawkin (once a month), and Jackson (once a month).

Additional Key responsibilities:
Provide patient care within the institution from admittance to discharge by working collaboratively with the supervising physician at multiple Meridian Hospitals and outpatient settings.
Provide direct patient care, consultations, educational research activities, and clinical supervision.
Function as an expert clinical resource, facilitate patient teaching and support program for families/patients, and promote continuity of patient care.
Elicit accurate history, perform physical examinations, identify problems, and record and interpret information as it pertains to patients in the inpatient consults, Emergency Department, Hospital rounds or outpatient settings.
Perform clinically appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as delegated by the supervising physician.
Provide patient counseling and observation.
Function as a first and/or second assistant during surgical cases at the discretion of the supervising physician.
Assist supervising physician with office hours and when on-call including evening hours and/or weekends.
Participate in clinical research projects including patient counseling, data gathering; follow up investigations, and collaboration with other investigators.
Qualified candidates must have NJ Physician Assistant Certification, as well as ALS and a valid drivers license. Strong laparoscopic/robotic experience is required, and experience with postoperative, Med-Surg floors, and ICU patient care is preferable. OCN certification would also be a plus, but is not mandatory.
