Opportunity Information: Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) and Sutter Health Alta Bates Medical Center are partnering to treat the whole range of cancers including of the breast, prostate, colon, lung and blood. Located at our Comprehensive Cancer Center ( http://www.altabatessummit.org/cancer/ccc/ ) in Berkeley, CA., our medical oncologists use the most current FDA-approved chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and targeted molecular therapies, and the most recent discoveries in cancer treatment.
Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) and Sutter Health are actively recruiting for the position of Physician Service Line Leader to lead our Hematology/Oncology team. This position will provide leadership, vision, direction, and development of a growing Oncology and Hematology Department. Responsibilities will be 40% patient care and 60% administrative that includes direct involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of departmental initiatives and programs related to clinical practices, development, and research.

Position Requires: Hematology/Oncology physician leader with 5-10 years of leadership experience as well as a strong clinical background. Emotionally intelligent servant leader who can guide the Comprehensive Cancer Center through a highly competitive market. Leadership abilities to support the development and adoption of pathways, guidelines, benchmarks and metrics for the Cancer Center. Ability to coordinate and support the development and adoption of the multidisciplinary care model at the Cancer Center. Develop team based care and collaboration among clinicians and staff alike. Help grow the division by recruiting the best and brightest oncologists who are focused on the highest quality, patient focused care, every time. Communicates effectively and frequently with appropriate clinical and administrative leadership, as well as with physicians and clinical staff, to ensure that all operations of the Service Line are aligned with the vision, strategy and focus of the Cancer Center, Sutter Health, and East Bay Physicians Medical Group. Develops, coordinates and implements training and continuing medical education opportunities for physicians within the Service Line, which includes clinical research, conferences, rounds, and periodic participation in Cancer Center conferences.
