Responsibilities

NOTE: This is a general Hospitalist role, but we are also open to a Nocturnist. This position will also be a joint hire between the Mercy and Unity campuses of Mercy Hospital and will have shifts at both sites.
Provide general medical care for adult hospitalized patients including consults from specialists within the hospital

Open ICU, staffed with Intensivists 24/7/365 on the Mercy Campus.

Vent Management strongly encouraged.

Education

Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
Graduate of an approved M.D. or D.O. program.


Qualification/Skills

Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Internal Medicine
MN License required.
Current BLS/ACLS required.
Comfortable working in an open ICU.
Excellent communication skills.

The city of Coon Rapids is a fast growing community on the Mississippi River just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the metropolitan area gateway to the northern part of the state. Coon Rapids offers excellent access to highways, dynamic community shopping centers with major retail anchors, and a wide variety of recreational activities including neighborhood and regional parks, a municipal golf course, indoor ice arenas, hiking and biking trails and swimming pools.
