Madera Community Hospital (MCH) is a 106 bed hospital providing emergency services to 35,000+ patients annually. MCH is HFAP (Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program) accredited. The 20 bed Level III Emergency Department includes:
24 hours of physician and 36 hours of APC coverage daily -12 hour shifts
On call specialty services includeCardiology, Surgery, Family & Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Gynecology, and Gastroenterology among others
Bed-side ultrasound,X-ray, Lab, and C.T. Scan
California Medical license
DEA License with California registration
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM),ANDDocumented 1,400 hours or 1,000 successful patient visits in last 2 years in anAOA-HFAP or comparable accredited facility.
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or General SurgeryAND1,400 hours as an Emergency Room Physician or 1,000 successful Emergency Room patient visits in last 2 years in anAOA-HFAP or comparable accredited facility
CurrentACLS, PALS and ATLS certificates

Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a shareholder after 150 hours worked which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company. Shareholders have the option of participating in VEP's 401(k) plan and short-term & long-term disability plans.
