TT Faculty – Alzheimer’s Center at Temple (ACT)

The Alzheimers Center at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is currently seeking an outstanding scientist for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level whose research program investigates mechanisms relevant to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative conditions.
Qualified applicants will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: 1) molecular biology using animal models and cell culture systems; 2) histopathology and biochemical analysis of human and non-human brain tissue; 3) biochemistry and molecular biology. Applicants should have a proven track record of consistent publications and independent funding in these areas. Successful candidates should have an MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree, and a strong academic record in neurobiology or neuroscience with an emphasis on Alzheimers and related neurodegenerative diseases.
The recently established Alzheimers Center at Temple occupies space in the Medical Education and Research Building, a new state-of-the-art building fully dedicated to basic and clinical research and medical education. This position will complement and synergize with ongoing basic and clinical research programs within the Departments of Pharmacology, Neurology, Neuroscience and Medicine.
