Seattle, Washington - Nationally ranked Swedish Cancer Institute (SCI) is searching for an exceptional leader in Breast Surgical or Medical Oncology, to serve as the medical director of both the True Family Womens Cancer Center, and SCIs multi-disciplinary Breast Program in Seattle, Washington. This is a full-time position, divided between 0.5 FTE clinical and 0.5 FTE administrative. It is an ideal role for a thoughtful and collaborative clinician and leader who can implement and expand an ambitious vision of multidisciplinary breast and womens cancer care, building on the legacy of robust comprehensive, compassionate care of cancer patients, and their families, and cutting edge clinical and translational research at SCI. The ideal candidate will have breast surgical or medical oncology fellowship training; experience and interest in teaching medical students, residents and fellows; and a sterling record of clinical practice, program development, and administrative leadership, with a strong background in clinical and/or translational research. We anticipate the new director will be involved in capitalizing on, and expanding, current collaborative partnerships with breast surgery specialties, breast imaging, medical oncology and radiation oncology, as well as continuing to develop relationships within and beyond SCI for future research projects and continued clinical growth.
