About the Practice:
A local and well-respected private practice is looking to add a competent, team-oriented, and affable physician to their team. Weekday call is shared with community Pediatricians, so is 1:8, and weekends are optional. A nurse triage service handles night phone calls. Hospital call is reimbursed. The incoming physician would transition from an employment scenario to partner at one calendar year. In addition to your salary, the local hospital will cover the costs of your relocation and provide a robust signing bonus. The practice utilizes an outstanding, top-rated EMR/practice management software platform that was designed for Pediatrics. Ideal candidates are board certified in Pediatrics (or coming directly out of their training program), comfortable with EMR's, possess current DEA/CPR certifications, and possesses a positive, team-oriented approach to their work-life. If qualified potential candidates prefer a hospital-based practice scenario, we are amenable to this structure as well. This position entails a generous guaranteed income and robust signing bonus.
The Pediatric Hospitalist position provides in house coverage during the day and via call in the evenings. Our average census for our Pediatric floor is 5. Our average census for Obstetrics is 8. The average census for our level II, 6-bed, NICU is 0.5. There is Pediatric Advice Line fielded by a nurse as the first line of call coverage. As this is a hospital-based scenario, there is no overhead. Compensation would be a base plus production (RVU) model.
