Fairview Health Services is seeking aSports MedicinePhysician to join a multispecialty practice at our Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care - Burnsville location.

Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care brings orthopedic and sports medicine specialists together to blend the best in conservative and surgical treatment for muscle and joint problems. Work collaboratively with seven primary care sports medicine physicians. Collaborate with other sports medicine physicians in the community. Work alongside orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists, mid-level specialists, physical therapists, chiropractors and athletic trainers onsite at our clinic. Team members also provide physician services to area high schools, including coverage for high school football on Friday nights in the fall and provide coverage for MN State High School League tournaments throughout the year.

Practice Details:

Provide outpatient Sports Medicine care at the FSOC Burnsville location.
Patient encounters average 20-22 patients per day.
Physicians work collaboratively with a large network of both primary care and specialty physicians throughout the Fairview Medical Group practice, including partners at the University of Minnesota, which includes many subspecialists through an extensive outreach programs, which include: Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Radiology, Neurology, ENT, Podiatry, Pain Medicine and many more.
We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Physicians work an expectation of34 patient contact hours per week.
Expectation of 1 evening per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays
Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to the hospitalist service at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.
Call Coverage: 1 in 8 weeks
Openings: 1.0 FTE

Position Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited ACGMESports Medicinefellowship training program and Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
