Summary of Opportunity:

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, Department of Radiology announces the search for a BC/BE Academic Neuroadiologist to become a part of our Faculty.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a faculty practice while enjoying a schedule that allows for great work/life balance. The anticipated schedule will be 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

The section of Neuroradiology provides a full service of clinical studies which includes all routine diagnostic magnetic resonance (MR) and computed tomography (CT) radiology studies of the brain, Head and neck, temporal bones and spine. This section also provides emergency neuroradiology services for a busy ER, level one trauma center, and a primary stroke center. State of the art functional neuroradiology services are also performed that include: clinical BOLD fMRI for language and Sensory motor strip, Diffusion tensor imaging, MR and CT perfusion and MR spectroscopy. Neuroradiology services are offered at the Temple University Hospital, The Episcopal campus of Temple, Jeanes Hospital, and Northeastern Ambulatory Care Center.

Our faculty provide excellent education to a diverse body of medical students, residents, and future fellows. Opportunities to participate in our educational mission include lectures as part of the medical school and resident curriculum as well as multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards.

There are approximately 42 Full time clinical faculty members within Temple University Health System who specialize in the following areas: chest and cardiac imaging, abdominal imaging, mammography, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, interventional neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, musculoskeletal radiology and general radiology. The Department has vibrant clinical and educational programs. The clinical radiology service is based out of Temple University Hospital and also serves the Episcopal Hospital Campus, Northeastern Campus, and the Jeanes Hospital Campus. At the Fox Chase Cancer Center Campus there are currently 10 diagnostic radiologists that are employed by the Fox Chase Cancer Center Medical Group that provide all of the imaging services. The interventional radiology section serves all of the hospitals in the TUHS. The ACGME accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program has been in continuous existence since 1932 and has trained more than 350 radiologists.

Candidate Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a DO, M.D. or foreign equivalent with training from an ACGME accredited residency in radiology. The successful applicant will also have fellowship in Neuroradiology. Board certified or board edibility in radiology and CAQ certified (or eligible) also required as is the ability to obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
