Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, is looking for a Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join its Hospitalist team.Grand Itasca is a fully integrated multi-specialty clinic and hospital.

Scope of Practice

Grand Itasca hasa hospitalist team of three physicians. The Hospitalists are dedicated on a full time basis to providing inpatient care.

Hospitalists works with a Family Medicine "Rounding Physician" to provide inpatient care to all the patients in the ICU and medical surgical unit at Grand Itasca. Hospitalistscare for an average for 15 to 18 patients per day. The practice covers a wide range of acute and chronic diseases. Hospitalistswork a seven-on-seven-off schedule providing coverage for 12 hour shifts. During day time hours a Family Physician provides coverage as well, overnight call is provided for Obstetrics and Pediatric care. In addition Grand Itasca has an Emergency Department staff with one or two physicians 24 hours each day.

Position Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency training program and Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
