This position provides direct and comprehensive primary, preventative and therapeutic medical and nursing care to individuals across the lifespan at the Wind River Service Unit, Indian Health Service, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Medical Officer.
Assess, plan and provide comprehensive and therapeutic medical care.
Interpret test results and analyzes all collected data, discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to identify
all stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems, and to prioritize health care needs.
Formulate and implements plan of care which may involve various treatment modalities, prescribing medications, consultation with other health care providers, and referrals.
Collaborate with other health care professionals to develop treatment protocols, standards of practice and policies.
