Assistant, Associate or Full Professor

The Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU is currently seeking an academic faculty member for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care to join a division of 7 faculty. We seek a motivated clinician-teacher interested in a career in pediatric critical care medicine in an academic setting. The Children's Hospital of Richmond is a multi-specialty hospital within a hospital facility that serves as a tertiary and quarternary care center to the children of central Virginia and beyond. Candidate responsibilities will include inpatient management of children admitted to the 20-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and close cooperation with other services including the pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center, ECMO center, surgical services, and nursing staff.

The candidate will work collaboratively with the residency program directors and medical student clerkship directors to meet the educational needs of the residents and medical students. The candidate will work within a dynamic academic environment and will have many opportunities to develop clinical, educational, quality improvement, and research interests.

The candidate will be offered a full-time faculty appointment at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. The candidate must be BE/BC in Pediatric Critical Care and be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia. Clinical Responsibilities include 24/7 in house coverage of a busy pediatric intensive care unit.
