Status: Contract Full Time
Compensation: $200K to $224K per year

We are looking for an Occupational Medicine Physician for an immediate opening at our Pentagon location. This Occupational Medicine Physician will provide occupational health and preventive medicine services for Department of Defense federal civilians and contractors of the Pentagon.

Education and Experience
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited college approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals
of the American Medical Association OR
Doctor of Osteopathy degree from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Medicine residency accredited by the American Board of
Occupational Medicine.
Must have a valid unrestricted state license to practice medicine and current Drug Enforcement Administration
registration number certificate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose, treat, and manage patients care as required, and in strict compliance with standing orders and
protocols set for the by the medical facility.
Devise medical surveillance programs required by OSHA and the Office of Personnel Management.
Perform examinations on employees and applicants for employment referred by various agencies to determine
whether or not the individuals in question are medically qualified.
Advise management in regards to applicants for employment whose medical condition may dictate special
Make recommendations to the appropriate agency as to the advisability of assigning applicants overseas when the
applicants have a medical problem and may be jeopardized due to geographic location or non-availability of
proper medical care facilities.
Perform general medical examinations of civilian employees in mandated medical surveillance programs.
Perform periodic examination on employees whose work involves exposure to toxic materials or other
environmental influences.

Key Skills and Knowledge
Possess skills to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients.
Skilled in use of necessary equipment and supplies properly.
Able to communicate with nurses, medical staff, patients, and family members.
Sufficiently skilled to teach patients proper self-care and to motivate patients and family members to continue the
procedures for promoting rapid healing.
Skilled in interviewing, examination, assessment, and management of patients with general medical and surgical
health problems
Demonstrated ability to lead & motivate staff/fellow coworkers.

Working Conditions: Outpatient medical facility.

Work Hours
Minimum 40 hours per week
Scheduled shifts are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
