If you're an accomplished APRN with a WOCN accreditation seeking to excel in an exciting clinical and teaching environment, we can make that happen.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for a clinically minded APRN with WOCN accreditation to join our clinical staff at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. As a Wound Care APRN, you will be able to provide direct clinical care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, work collaboratively with your peers to develop appropriate care plans, provide education to patients, families and medical staff and take an active role in developing policies and procedures in wound care.

In this role, you can utilize your advanced practice expertise to treat wound, ostomy and continence issues. Highlight your acute care abilities within a collaborative team environment where your input and clinical expertise will benefit the coordinated efforts of our medical staff to provide wound care. Here you can provide great care to patients in a forty-hour per week position and help make a difference in the continued improvement of care at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

The successful candidate will have an MS degree in nursing, current Connecticut RN and APRN licenses and wound, ostomy and continence certification. This candidate should have recent acute care experience and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills as well as critical thinking and effective clinical aptitudes.

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is one of the largest hospitals in Connecticut with 617 beds and is a Level 2 trauma center. It is closely affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and its residency and fellowship programs and area schools of nursing. Outpatient wound care is performed at The Center for Advanced Wound Healing and Lymphedema Therapy at Saint Francis, which is one of New England's largest and most modern medical facilities dedicated to the treatment of patients with acute and chronic wounds and extremity swelling.
