The Beckley VA Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Physician. This wonderful opportunity allows you to provide treatment to Veterans in that the Emergency Department.
Recognize and treat life-threatening conditions
Resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them, as necessary, to the appropriate medical specialist(s) or department(s), or for hospitalization.
Work effectively as part of a team, with other physicians and other members of the emergency room staff.
Maintain current emergency medicine knowledge and skills through independent study and continuing medical education (CME) activities.

Work schedule: Will work a flexible tour of duty in order to accommodate patient care needs. Compressed shifts available 12 hours; generally seven 12-Hour shifts that rotate through evenings, weekend and Holidays as ED staffing requires.

Requirements:
U.S. Citizen
Board certified/board eligible Internal Medicine/Family Practice; Emergency Medicine Physician or experience Physicians with ED experience.
Unrestricted MD.DO license (practice with any current and unrestricted state license).

Salaries: VA Physician salaries are determined by a compensation panel of physicians at the facility where you practice medicine. VA salaries are very competitive and are based on physician salaries of the local market, your experience and credentials as a physician.
