Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Saint Marys Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut a member of Trinity Health, the nations second-largest nonprofit health system is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant in the Greater Waterbury area.

The Orthopedic Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimum care for patients in a busy orthopedic service. The Ortho PA will function as first assistant in the operation room! The Ortho PA will also manage pre-operative and post-operative patients in coordination with the supervising physician and will diagnose and treat patients, order tests and prescribe medications.

BA or BS degree and graduate from an approved Physician Assistant or Associate program accredited by the AMA council on medical education required. PA certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and CT PA licensure required. 2 years relevant experience in operating room, or inpatient or outpatient care preferred.
