Hospital Medicine Medical Director- UnityPoint Clinic "Fort Dodge"

UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Hospital Medicine Medical Director to join our practice in Fort Dodge, IA.

.6 clinical and .4 administrative
Established practice
Oversee a team 3-6 physicians and 2 ARNPs
Experience staff
Ability to train with current medical director
Flexible team scheduling

Practice Details:
Provide clinical leadership and overall supervision to all physicians in hospital medicine program.
Hold regular meetings with providers to discuss systems/patient flow quality, improvements in scheduling, patient and physician relationships.
Attend other medical staff committee meetings as assigned.
Provide guidance to hospitalist program services including policies, personnel, marketing, quality assurance monitoring, and education.
Regularly assess medical staff perceptions and needs of program.
Assist in face to face or phone interviews for recruitment and orient new providers and monitor their ongoing compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsible for receiving, investigating, and settling all grievances or questions of policy concerning physician staff from patients, medical staff, or administration.
Assist in an efficient operation of practice, providing input on budgets, billing, equipment, staffing, and yearly goals and objectives.
Work a .6 clinically 12 hour shifts.
Average of 15 patients per day and 3-6 admissions and discharges
