Exciting opportunity on inpatient psychiatry unit dedicated to college students and young adults, including first episode patients. This unit serves as a primary setting for psychiatry resident and medical student training. Northwells Behavioral Health College Partnership (BHCP) is an inpatient/outpatient collaboration between Zucker Hillside Hospital (of Long Island Jewish Medical Center) and 50+ regional colleges and universities. BHCP is anchored by this twenty-bed inpatient unit in Zucker Hillsides new Behavioral Health Pavilion, an architecturally striking facility with design features that complement our state-of-the-art clinical care.

We are recruiting for an academically-oriented psychiatrist interested in the college-age spectrum, early-onset serious illness, and borderline personality disorder. Completion of a child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship preferred. Special interest in and aptitude for teaching and supervising junior psychiatry residents, medical and nursing students, and psychology externs, interns and post-docs is a prerequisite for this team leadership role in a highly innovative and desirable training milieu. Activities will also include helping to develop a novel program in tele-psychiatry to university Student Counselling Centers.
