Cytopathologist- NYC Suburbs

The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cytopathologist. The Cytopathology Division serves two major tertiary care facilities, NSUH and LIJ, with a robust outreach program. The facility is located in Lake Success, NY. The annual volume of cytology is 167,000 with 137,000 gynecologic, 17,000 non-gynecologic and 11,000 FNA specimens. The department has an excellent ACGME accredited Cytopathology fellowship program. In this role, the cytopathologist will be responsible for interpreting and reporting all cytopathology specimens, be a faculty member of the Department of Anatomic Pathology, participating in frozen section and surgical sub specialty sign out and will be expected to support the education of fellows and physicians-in-training. Eligible candidates should have preferably more than 5 years post fellowship experience in cytopathology. An academic background with demonstrated academic accomplishments is desirable. The candidates proficient in performing FNA with and without USG are preferred.
