Our pediatrics department is growing! St. Luke’s University Health Network has several positions currently open in a variety of areas within our pediatric department. We are seeking board certified or board eligible pediatricians  for both inpatient and outpatient positions.  Ideal candidates would have strong communication and teamwork skills with an emphasis on delivering high quality pediatric services.

We are the region’s largest, most established health system and a Truven award winning network with six, soon to be seven, hospitals spanning 9 counties. The inpatient pediatric focus is primarily at our Bethlehem campus where our inpatient pediatric unit resides as well as our Level III NICU. 

ABOUT OUR INPATIENT PEDIATRIC UNIT: We are seeking full or part time inpatient pediatric hospitalists. A 12 room unit with a 4 bed high acuity area staffed by pediatricians with support from advanced practitioners with special training in pediatrics.  Experienced pediatric nurses, a pediatric pharmacist, and a pediatric radiologist help to round out our team. Consultants in the fields of pediatric GI, pediatric endocrinology and pediatric nephrology are also part of our network. Additional support is provided via a partnership with St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. We are a teaching hospital, helping to educate residents in such areas as Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. We have our own medical school (Temple-St. Luke’s) and serve as the clinical site for third and fourth year medical students.


We have openings in several of our pediatric practices due to both growth as well as vacancies anticipated by retiring physicians.  Seeking pediatricians in a full or part time capacity to be part of the team in our busy primary care offices with strong adherence to evidence based AAP guidelines.  Answering service for office based calls at night and with our 24/7 Neonatology in house coverage, no need to attend deliveries or perform nursery rounds.

  • Kidscare: large  (about 10) group of pediatricians and APP  serve a primarily underserved pediatric patient population in the inner city  with a high number of Spanish speaking patients. Translation services are available. Medically complex as well as routine sick and well child visits. Support from RNs and medical Social worker on site.  Clinical site for the FP and ED residents as well as the third year medical students.  Average call is 1:6 weekends and 1:6 weeknights for a full time physician.  Current need is for physician and APP in either full time or part time capacity.

  • Palmerton Pediatrics: solo practice with long standing roots in this small town community serving mostly commercially insured patients but with some participation in MA. Opportunity to call share with our other established pediatric practices in the region.  Current need is for full time physician.

  • Pocono Pediatrics: well-established 4 physician practice located in Stroudsburg, just minutes away from the scenic Pocono Mountains. Serving a mostly commercially insured patient population but with some participation in MA.  Anticipating adding to the growth of this already vibrant practice with our newest hospital opening just down the road from the office in fall 2016. Current need is for full time physician but would consider part time qualified applicant.
