Primary Care- Borgess Health Park
Borgess Medical Center
Senior Physician Recruiter
Borgess Health Park currently employs 5 primary care providers and is looking to recruit 3-4 more due to our growing patient base. Both family medicine and internal medicine applicants will be considered. The clinic is open Monday-Thursday: 7am-7pm, Friday: 8am-5pm, and Saturday: 8am-12pm. We offer a flexible schedule to our prospective candidates, with the option to work longer hours and less days per week if that is what they would prefer. We will also consider a part time applicant. All providers work full-time (36 hour clinical week with administration time). The practice manager has assured that new physicians can expect to be busy upon starting their practice, and will take existing patients from existing providers in order to ramp up to their potential.
Each provider has 2-3 exam rooms and it usually takes about 2-3 weeks for a new patient to be seen. Providers will typically see between 17-25 patients per day and have a very organized schedule due to the assistance of having their own medical assistant assigned to them. Providers and support staff work in a team space together, which allows for better communication and a more effective flow of patient visits. We have a team of schedulers who specifically handle referrals. We also have an ambulatory clinical pharmacist, a RN care coordinator makes all of our patient appointments at the hospital and special appointments, a full office staff, an administrative director, and our practice manager. Our providers will see very few pediatric patients and will see mostly adult and geriatric patients. The clinic will also do a lot of chronic disease management
The current call schedule is 1:4 but that will lessen with new providers coming on. Calls will only consist of practice patients asking about medication refills, etc. You will not get more than 10 calls in a week.
