Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) Medical Group is seeking a Pediatric Surgeon (BE/BC) to join our well-established, growing childrens surgical services department at St. Johns Childrens Hospital in Springfield, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with the regions leading experts in pediatric surgical care who perform the most advanced techniques in the area. Join a full complement of pediatric sub-specialties and specially trained pediatric anesthesiologists, nurses and intensivists. The Pediatric Surgery program serves a population of approximately 650,000 from surrounding counties within the south-central Illinois region. St. Johns $121 million Surgery Modernization construction project was completed April 2014. The Surgery Modernization project placed all surgery services, including cardiac, pediatric, day surgery/ outpatient and Main surgical services in one centralized location.

SJCH is an 80-bed teaching hospital located on the campus of St. Johns Hospital. The facility includes:
40-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
32-bed general and intermediate care unit
Level III Perinatal Center with dedicated pediatric and neonatal air-ground transport teams
Level II Trauma Center/Regional Referral Center for Pediatric Care in south/central Illinois (only comprehensive child health care facility in south-central Illinois)
Comprehensive Pediatric Rehabilitation Program
Teaching hospital affiliated with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
