Norton Medical Group, the employed physician practice division of Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY is looking to recruit an Endocrinologist to join our existing group of 4 physicians and 1 mid-level. The physicians currently provide inpatient and outpatient services at one hospital, Norton Audubon Hospital. The outpatient practice is located in the medical office building which is adjacent to the hospital (see hospital description below). Practice call would be 1:5. The physician would earn a competitive salary with bonus opportunity, access to a large referral base of employed physicians, paid malpractice, retirement contributions, and other employee benefits. Norton Audubon Hospital is a 432-bed community hospital located in central Louisville that offers a full range of specialized medical and surgical services, including an internationally recognized heart program. Other services include a level III chest pain accredited emergency care center, joint care program, Acute care for elders (ACE) unit, pain management and wound healing center.

The physician is responsible for obtaining and legibly recording a detailed medical history of each patient, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
