The Surgical Clinic of Central Arkansas is seeking a Breast Fellowship trained surgeon to join their multi-specialty surgical clinic. There are 14 surgeons in the practice and only one is a breast surgeon.

The Surgical Clinic of Central Arkansas is the oldest and largest surgical referral clinic in the state. They provide comprehensive general surgical care as well as multi-specialty surgical care to the entire state of Arkansas and the surrounding areas.

The need for recruitment is due to the overwhelming need in the community for additional breast surgeons. There are currently very few surgeons available to meet the demand and the existing surgeon has an excessively busy practice. He is seeing an average of 250 patients in 2.5 clinic days and performing over 38 surgeries per week. The recruited surgeon will have the opportunity to step into a full practice just based on the referrals from the existing surgeon.

This opportunity is very flexible and the candidate can determine whether they prefer an employment model v. a private-practice model. There is no general surgery or trauma call required with this position.

In addition to the excellent surgical opportunity that is available, there is much that the community of Little Rock has to offer. It is located in Central Arkansas with access to many outdoor activities as well as cultural experiences. It is easy to understand why Arkansas is called the Natural State from the many rivers, lakes, parks, hiking trails and camping sites readily available and in close proximity. Little Rock boasts the Little Rock Zoo, Arkansas Arts Center, Arkansas Symphony, The Repertory Theater and The William J. Clinton Presidential Library, to name a few.
Baptist Health offers the most comprehensive healthcare system in the state of Arkansas. The Baptist Health system consists of nine hospitals. The campuses are located in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Arkadelphia, Heber Springs, Malvern, Stuttgart, and Conway (2016). Baptist Health has been caring for Arkansans since 1920 and continues to provide the best healthcare available with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Baptist Health is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care with Christian compassion and personal concern. Job opportunities are available for both primary care and specialty physicians. Financial arrangements include employment as well as income guarantee loan agreements.
