The Florida Hospital Heartland Division is operated in the tradition of Adventist healthcare, which recognizes that total health is achieved through the proper balance of physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Florida Hospital Lake Placid operates the only inpatient mental health unit in Highlands County. Florida Hospital Wauchula became part of Adventist Health System in 1993, providing inpatient, transitional care, outpatient and emergency services in Hardee County.
Florida Hospital Heartland Division is a Christian based, not-for-profit hospital, comprised of three facilities located in South-Central Florida. It boasts a rural atmosphere while offering the Convenience of urban technology, and is the area's healthcare facility of choice. Due to the Heartland's low coast of living, many freshwater lakes, golf courses and its close proximity to Florida's best shopping, dining, and resorts, the community is projected to sustain double-digit growth rates over the next five years. This affords our physicians the opportunity for continued growth.
