Job Description
Sea Mar Community Health Centers:
Sea Mar Community Health Centers was founded in 1978 with a single clinic in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. Today, Sea Mar is Washingtons largest provider of community-based, comprehensive health care with over 36 medical clinics and 55 behavioral health clinics along the Puget Sound.
Psychiatry:
We are looking for mission driven Physician Psychiatrists dedicated to serving underserved and diverse communities to join our Primary Care teams in locations throughout Washington State. The Physician Psychiatrist provides psychiatric care services to clients of Sea Mar CHC in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice of Sea Mar and its mission statement. As a Physician Psychiatrist you will be part of a care team working to provide quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients, as well as work collaboratively with other staff to provide team based coordinated care.
The Physician Psychiatrist provides psychiatric care services to clients at Sea Mars outpatient Behavioral Health sites and at Sea Mars medical clinics. At the Behavioral Health Program, Physician Psychiatrist provides clients with counseling and case management services, in addition to psychiatric services. At the medical clinics, Physician Psychiatrist provides clients with evaluation and medication follow-up: at the medical clinics Physician Psychiatrist does not provide counseling services.
Our facilities are located throughout Western Washington. We have clinics in Concrete, Bellingham, Elma, Everson, Mt. Vernon, Anacortes, Oak Harbor, Marysville, Everett, Monroe, Lynnwood, Bellevue, Seattle, White Center, Burien, Kent, Des Moines, Federal Way, Puyallup, Tacoma, Tumwater, Lacey, Yelm, Olympia, Tillicum, Aberdeen, Ocean Shores and Vancouver.
Qualifications:
Basic Education: Licensed M.D or D.O.
Minimal Formal Training: Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency; board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification preferred but not required. A current DEA certificate is required if applicant is requesting privileges to prescribe controlled substances. A current CPR certificate is required. Washington State License to practice Psychiatrist.
Other: Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
