Job Description
Sea Mar Community Health Centers:
Sea Mar Community Health Centers was founded in 1978 with a single clinic in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. Today, Sea Mar is Washingtons largest provider of community-based, comprehensive health care with over 36 medical clinics along the Puget Sound.
Family Physician:
We are looking for mission driven family physicians dedicated to serving underserved and diverse communities to join our Primary Care teams in locations throughout Washington State. As a physician you will provide primary medical care services to patients of Sea Mar Community Health Centers in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance and licensure in a manner consistent with guidelines established in the principles of practice at Sea Mar and its mission statement. As a physician you will be part of a care team working to provide quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients, as well as work collaboratively with other staff to provide team based coordinated care.
We are not your typical CHC. We provide 1 MA per provider on the floor at all times to help facilitate a patient visit. We use EPIC EHR, and have a robust ancillary staff including: care coordinator, registered dietitian, and mental health therapist.
Our facilities are located throughout Western Washington. We have clinics in Concrete, Bellingham, Elma, Everson, Mt. Vernon, Marysville, Everett, Monroe, Lynnwood, Vashon Island, Bellevue, Seattle, White Center, Burien, Kent, Des Moines, Federal Way, Puyallup, Tacoma, Lakewood, Spanaway, Tumwater, Lacey, Yelm, Olympia, Tillicum, Aberdeen, Ocean Shores and Vancouver.
Qualifications:
Basic Education: Licensed M.D or D.O.
Minimal Formal Training: Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency; board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification preferred but not required. A current DEA certificate is required if applicant is requesting privileges to prescribe controlled substances. A current CPR certificate is required. A current NRP certificate is required if applicant is requesting OB privileges. Additional education may be required for some specialty areas (orthopedics, etc.).
Other: Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
