About the Community
Located between Pensacola and Panama City, Fort Walton Beach is known for its sugar white sand, emerald green waters, and an abundance of outdoor activities (fishing, golf, water sports, boating, just to name a few!) Okaloosa County is a great place to call home. Our mid-sized community is welcoming to all, from young families to retirees. The area is home to several military bases (Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field and Duke Field) and also has one of the top ranked school districts in the state of Florida. There are always new and fun events and activities happening around town to appeal to anyone. We are also just a short road trip away from many metropolitan areas in the Southeast (Mobile, Birmingham, New Orleans, Nashville, Orlando, Atlanta). It is quite obvious why Fort Walton Beach is known as the best-kept secret in NW Florida.
