About the Organization

The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services is committed to ensuring access to high-quality, patient-centered, cost effective health care to Los Angeles County residents through direct services at DHS facilities and through collaboration with community and university partners.

We are actively recruiting physicians licensed to practice in California and who specialize in family medicine and internal medicine (BE/BC). We are looking for outstanding clinicians who work well in teams, are committed to working with underserved communities, and that want to be leaders in patient-centered care. Part-time and full-time primary care physicians will provide direct patient care in the outpatient setting to a panel of patients through patient care teams that comprise patient-centered medical homes (PCMHs).

We offer guaranteed salaries, excellent health care and retirement benefits, ample paid time off (11 paid holidays + 2 weeks of vacation + 2 weeks of paid CME time per year), and free malpractice coverage (L.A. County is self-insured) that does not require tail coverage if you leave a position with us. We have openings in our Ambulatory Care Network and Correctional Health Services throughout L.A. County. Many of our ACN sites are located in Health Professional Shortage areas which opens up access to educational loan repayment programs.
