About the Organization
Wood River Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in the south county area of Rhode Island. Our offices are staffed with experienced clinical support and board certified physicians and nurse practitioners. Our knowledgeable and professional management staff affords you the luxury of focusing on patient care and treatment planning. We are a collaborative, mission driven, team of healthcare professionals working together to provide quality healthcare to our patients and community.
Wood River Health Services is recognized by NCQA as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). We provide team-based care consistent with the principles and standards of a PCMH. Services provided at Wood River Health Services include family, internal and pediatric care, full-service dentistry, social services, WIC, nutritional counseling and support, womens health programs, chronic care management, behavioral healthcare, and accredited labs, x-ray and mammography.
About the Community
We are conveniently located less than a mile off Route 95 in the farming community of Hope Valley, RI, and our second location is located in Westerly, RI. We are only a 5 minute drive to Connecticut, 30 minute drive to Providence and 45 minutes to Massachusetts.
The South County area is gorgeous, and our location provides easy access to the beaches, Newport, RI, the University of Rhode Island, the hiking trails of Arcadia and Connecticuts Pachaug State Forests, which features 57 miles of rivers of the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed accessible by canoe or kayak.
We are also within easy reach of Amtrak to New York City and the commuter rail to Boston.
