FMCH is a not for profit rural health care organization that consists of a multi-specialty clinic and hospital services. The 472 FMCH employees are dedicated to their mission to advance the health and well-being of all people through compassionate, quality care, education and community service. The sense of teamwork is prevalent throughout the organization with high standards of care and behavior driving performance. FMCH has been named a Top Workplace in Iowa for the past five years. Governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, our leadership team is actively engaged, inviting open communication and support.Our patients value their relationship with their providers and have come to expect quality care from FMCH. Birthing over 400 babies each year, we care for all members of our community from newborn to geriatrics. The hospital provides fifty private Inpatient rooms; themed Birthplace labor and delivery rooms; a 24 hour, seven day a week physician staffed Emergency Department, Surgical Services and a Special Care Unit. Providing continuity of care and complete ancillary support services including advanced Radiology services, full Laboratory services, a 23,000 square foot Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Center and Home Health Care Services. The FMP&S Clinic employs over 24 health care providers committed to primary care and beyond including: Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Psychiatry, and Obstetrics/Gynecology. Visiting specialists also play an important role in the care provided at FMCH and includes: Urology, Cardiology, Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Pulmonology, and Oncology.
